About VPA Country Reports
In line with the FLEGT IMM mandate to monitor the market impact of the FLEGT Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs), the Country Reports provide regular access to the latest data and commentary on timber production, imports, exports and consumption by VPA Partner Countries. By summarising the volume and value of trade in the most recent twelve-month period for which data is available, the reports highlight and provide early-warning of significant trends. The Country reports also summarise the current status of the FLEGT VPA process in each country, the latest data on forest cover and certification, and other data providing insights into the relative competitiveness of the VPA partner country in international timber product markets.
Further description of the terminology, data sources, and methodologies can be found in the FLEGT FLEGT IMM Country Report Technical Notes.
